POETRY- ZIMBABWE by Zunguzabvumo

I'm proud to be a Zimbabwean
Why shouldn't I?
We have regained what has been lost
and delivered into the rightful hands.
Thanks to the gallant sons and
daughters who paid an ultimate
sacrifice with their lives
They took a burden and now we enjoy
the spoils of war
We now smell the fresh breeze of the
weather  without fear
We now fully enjoy what they have
been fightingfor

It always had been from day one and
will surely remain the place of interest
We spend our money to view the
beauty of Rome in Italy
Why pay more whilst you can do the
same for less right here in Zimbabwe
Whats more fascinating the ancient
history or the remaining history, can
you see a talking rock in Rome
I don't think so

Zimbabwe the land of beauty
Take a closer look and see the origin
of edern cut from heaven
Uhmmm I love the smell of blooming
flowers in the trees
What a melodius sound composed
from the twittering of birds and
chattering of monkeys
I'm not forgetting fertility of its
compact soils
The essence of Zimbabwean beauty
is glamorous

The button stick has been handled
over to us
We are now obliged in taking care of
this country
Let us triumphat and buit a
convalescent Zimbabwe
My country your country our country
